When Oscar nominations were announced on Tuesday, those involved in “The Social Network” all had something to celebrate about. The film has been nominated for eight Academy Awards which means it is only behind The King’s Speech (12) and True Grit (10). It shares third place with Inception, who also have eight, for most nominated Oscars. I reckon that’s an achievement within itself. More »

Lionsgate has announced that the film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ bestselling sci-fi trilogy ‘Hunger Games‘ will be released on March 23rd, 2012. The film will be directed by ‘Pleasantville’s Gary Ross and it will apparently have a PG-13 rating. More »

They tried to make Charlie Sheen go to rehab and he said, yes, yes, yes. In the meantime, Two And A Half Men will go on a production hiatus. Given all the recent headlines of Charlie’s sobriety issues, we saw this one coming. CBS and Warner Bros.
