Mark Waters, who has previously directed Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, Spiderwick Chronicles and the summer’s Mr Popper’s Penguins from Jim Carrey, is destined to take over at the helm for the Korean film Castaway on the Moon. CJ Entertainment, a popular Korean production company, have reportedly hired the director for an English-language remake. This Korean flick has already premiered at fests but they have now turned to a remake.
During the film, a man attempts suicide by jumping off a bridge. But they failed so he ended up on a deserted beach on a tiny uninhabited island in the river, quite close to Seoul.
