Remember the family movie Monsters Inc. from Disney/Pixar years back? Well, it’s back for a sequel and they’ve just released the title for the movie at CinemaCon on Tuesday. Expect to hear more about Monsters University [hopefully] soon!

It’s already been ten years since the release of the first film and it was one of Pixar’s first released projects. The co-directors of the film included Pete Docter and David Silverman. The cast of voice actors for the movie consists of talented people like John Goodman and Billy Crystal. It managed to pull $525 million at the box-office, worldwide.

We’re expecting the “fright engineers” from the original picture, Sully and Mike Wazowski, to make a comeback with this film alongside villain Randall Boggs (Steve Buscemi). The expected release date will be sometime in 2012.

According to TheHollywoodReporter, “The premise for the new movie is under lock and key although Disney said it will be a prequel.”
