Gotham City, according to the ever popular Batman comic books is a city portrayed with tall buildings that look relatively threatening. Christopher Nolan went along with that idea when he was filming the previous Batman films: Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, where the set was based mostly on the city of Chicago, but this time, Nolan wants something different.

According to Variety the latest Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, is set to be filming in Pittsburgh this summer. Nolan stated: “Pittsburgh is a beautiful city. We have been able to find everything we were looking for here.”

I like how they’re always changing the set to incorporate different settings. Are there any readers here who live in Pittsburgh?

Hm.. I wonder how much would this change for the movie. Chicago seems more appropriate for the scene of Gotham City with the dark, tall buildings and fog.
