Novelist Bret Easton Ellis described the popular show Glee as a “puddle of HIV’s” in a tweet last week, “I like the idea of Glee but why is it that every time I watch an episode I feel like I’ve stepped into a puddle of HIV?” That’s probably not the best comment to tweet to the entire world.

They definitely weren’t received very well by the public. And now it has caught the attention of the actor Matthew Morrison, who replied with, “You know what? That means the show is good if people have not-nice things to say — and amazing things to say. It keeps people talking, you know? That’s going to be a part of the show.”

Good response Matthew. I love Glee; it’s one of my favorite American TV shows. And true, the show does deal with a lot of bullying and touchy subjects. Regardless, it’s a great show. The actors are amazing and the music is great. It’s something I can listen to over and over again without ever feeling bored.
