This week on Survivor: Redemption Island we are really seeing the island come into play, with Matt already being voted out twice, he still remains in the game, and is once again conquering all the duals. But this time two others will “dual” with him, or “trial” while they try to figure that out, lets go down on what happened on Wednesday’s episode.

Back on Redemption Island the Murlonio tribe came to watch Matt, Mike, and David battle out in an intense card-stacking challenge, the first two to stack theirs to the right height without it falling stays in the game. David “the puzzle maker” sadly lost, but is not off the game entirely, he has been added as the very first member to the jury! The reactions of the jury are always entertaining to watch as they are filled in on what is going down on the tribe without all the crazy stress involved.

Matt and Mike still remain on the island together, who knows when they will come back into the game. But maybe they felt so bad for Matt that they did the three people competition. Now he has a friend to join him! And continuing to break down emotionally, it looks like he really needs the company. Poor Matt is having the worst possible Survivor experience.

Back on Murlonio, Rob’s plan to separate the two tribes is working and former Zapatera members are being picked off one by one. But now with less people they have plenty of food to spare, and are eating until their heart is content. And they have the right to, and not share with the other tribe, because of how they are being treated, I say hog it all! But Philip is not happy with this and STEALS some of their rice and puts it in the Ometepe tribes container. Okay, just keep that in mind.

Now planning to retaliate and show that they will hog their rice too, the Ometepe tribe go to feast, but oh no! Their contain is infested with maggots. They dump all the rice out and pick the bugs out of it, now without a good container they ask Zapatera to share containers. Not going to happen. But Steve at least says he’ll talk about it with his tribe once Ralph gets back. But Philip explodes on his biggest rant yet, and even brings the race card into it. Is he serious? I started to think, maybe he is only putting on an act of being crazy like Fabio did in a previous season when he pretended he was stupid, and come the end blew everyone away with his intelligence and won the game. But no, Philip’s just crazy, and it has nothing to do with the color of his skin.

Everyone is really sick of Philip now. Julie even went as far as to stealing his shorts so he is forced to wear his underwear to tribal council. Not a pretty sight. And how ironic that right there was the kind of dirty playing they hated and their reason for voting Russell off. Bad karma and now under the influence, Zapatera is hopeless.

Rob has the choice of voting Philip out and still having enough votes to get rid of the Zapatera tribe later on, and sure enough the girls wouldn’t mind getting him out. Rob goes on to say, “One man should not have this much power on an island, but I’m grateful that I do.” He really is running this game.

Back at tribal council it is more like a threapy season, and let me tell you, Jeff Probst handled it really well! Trying to settle the racist accusation. Philip had really gone too far to put that label on Steve’s head. But it was all settled. And Julie even admitted to stealing Philip’s shorts, after Phil had said his special agent training points all fingers at Steve. Hmm. In the end Julie was sent packing.
