It looks like Ewan McGregor is ”inlove” with director Danny Boyle, who Ewan has worked with on British films such as “Shallow Grave” and Trainspotting. These two films brought both their career into Hollywood success.

Ewan McGregor admitted that after Boyle helped him create the film ‘A Life Less Ordinary’, he would never forget Boyle.

“I loved him. I was really kind of in love with Danny. I’d look across and see him and I’d be very happy that he was there. It wasn’t a sexual affair, but I really loved him as a man. I had such admiration for him.”

Aside from that he also admitted that even playing as Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star War’s prequels, which paid him a lot, he still preferred working on low budget independent films, that he and Danny worked and started out together.

“But who I am is an independent film actor. I’m happy making ‘Beginners’ or ‘Perfect Sense’, driving to work on a small production with people who I know by name. I like to be around people who are excited about making films. In the big movies everything slows down and everything becomes more about the shot than the acting.”

In case you didn’t know, Danny Boyle directed the hit 2008 movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, which he even won the Best Director Oscar award.

First, when I read the title, I thought that Ewan was really inlove with Danny Boyle, but I’m glad to know that this love is only a deep admiration for him. I hope that these two would work again together and make or even direct great films.
