Olympic Show Jumper and fiance of Henry Cavill, Ellen Whitaker has recently been charged with a DUI, after being caught with an alcohol blood level that is twice the drink and drive limit. The 25 year old girl pleaded guilty to drink driving at Macclesfield Magistrates Court and has had her license taken away for 18 months.

Ellen said she was driving home from a charity ball at 2am on September 19, where she encountered the breathalyzer. The roadside breath test proved positive and she was taken to a police station where her lowest reading was 77 micrograms of alcohol in 100 milliliters of breath.

She told police that left a friend’s house in the early hours of the morning, but traveled for less than a mile before deciding to head back. At this point, she was stopped by police. She said to the court in her defence, “I didn’t realize I was over the limit, but when I started driving I realized I was and was on my way back.”

Such a shame… She should have just asked her friend to drive her or stayed at her friend’s house instead of driving herself :(
