Rosaline is a twist off of famous Shakespeare tragedy “Romeo and Juliet”. Character Rosaline in “Romeo and Juliet” is a girlfriend of Romeo who gets dumped when he finds Juliet. The movie will show Rosaline’s point of view in all this.

The movie is still waiting for a greenlight from the studio, which means the collaboration has not yet begun. The actors haven’t accepted the roles either but if they did, this is how it would go:
“True Blood” star Deborah Ann Woll would take the main role, while “True Grit” star Hailee Steinfeld and Dave Franco would play Juliet and Romeo.

The movie will not be using Shakespearean language like it was in the 20th Century Fox’s 1996 pic “Romeo and Juliet,” set in modern day Verona Beach. It will feature modern day speech.

If Woll who has played as Jessica Hamby in HBO series ‘True Blood’ and Franco who recently appeared in DreamWorks ‘Fright Night’ remake, accept the roles, it would be their first time having a full fledged lead role in a studio movie.

Steinfield on the other hand just came off an Oscar nomination for her performance in “True Grit”. This trio would make a very interesting combination for this upcoming movie.

I was always wondering what Rosaline was doing when all of this happened XD

I had to do a unit on R&J;last year and we watched the movie as well. Deborah seems like a pretty good Rosaline :D
