“As long as we’re together, we’re always home.” It’s a wonder how the producers of Happy Feet Two could display such a sentimental philosophy through a children’s movie. Despite the fact that the movie introduces the unrealistic ideas of talking animals in an animated form, the ideas and morals introduced were definitely not even close to being “childish”. Therefore, it comes down to today’s question. Should you spend your money at your local movie theater on Happy Feet Two? The answer is yes.

Official Released Date: Novemburr 18, 2011.

Summary: Mumble, the star of Happy Feet 1’s son, Erik, is struggling to discover his place in the world of Emperor Penguins. Meanwhile, Mumble’s family and friends find themselves stuck in a new disaster; one that’ll take new friends, hard work, and motivation to help break though.

Starring: Ava Acras (Erik), Elijah Wood (Mumble), Pink (Gloria), Benjamin Flores Jr.(Atticus), Lombardo Boyar (Raul), Hank Azaria (The Mighty Sven), Brad Pitt (Will the Krill)

Given ranking by myself: 4 out of 5.

Happy Feet Two might not make it to the list of “Must see” movies for teenagers, seeing as how it’s delivered in an animated form that must be “just for children”. However, after watching it myself, I realized just what kind of morals were hidden behind the fluffy and cute exterior of penguins.

I myself, being a teenager, didn’t expect to enjoy much of the animation when heading towards the movies with my friends, but I was in for a pleasant surprise. To start off, the movie is sickening cute! Happy Feet Two introduces the son of Mumble, Erik, (Which was a more then pleasant laugh for me, seeing as how I was accompanied by my friend Eric) a character that many of us can relate to because of the fact that he feels unaccepted by his entire penguin community. Entwined throughout the story are many morals and life ideals that turn this childish animation into a breath taking philosophy.

The characters of Happy Feet Two are really well played out; each character fulfilling a different aspect of life. The character of Erik symbolizes the longing within people to want to be accepted by society, and the feeling of sadness when we are not. On the other hand, The Might Sven signifies how far people (or penguins) are willing to go to be accepted by society, in his case, to pretend to be something he isn’t. Will The Krill demonstrates the will to break free from the every day lifestyle into a world of adventure and new experiences - as dangerous as it might be. Mumble reveals the painful experiences of all parents, when his child finds another being as their role model, and doesn’t spare himself a second glance - and the large amount of satisfaction when they finally do.

All in all, I believe Happy Feet Two is a movie that will definitely be enjoyed by people of all ages. For children, they’ll enjoy the simple animation of it all. For teenagers, they’ll find themselves relating with the characters, as well as enjoying the crude jokes entwined. And as for the adults, I believe they’ll truly understand the philosophy hidden behind Happy Feet Two, and if not, the sheer cuteness the move has to offer.
