Like me, a lot of people must be in Christmas mode already. This Weekend ‘New Years Eve‘ took the first place by collecting total of $13,705,000. Twilight moved down to third place after being on top for so long, and surprisingly The Descendants seems to be climbing up the ladder and making more money than in previous weeks. Although I haven’t watched New Years Eve yet I think I should go do it. The movie is starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Biel and Ashton Kutcher. I also have to mention that Zac Efron is going to be in the movie, which makes it a tad bit more interesting. I am concerned through, because this is their first week out and I expected the movie to make way more money than this.

Now the Box Office for this Weekend:

1.New Year’s Eve $13,705,000
2.The Sitter $10,000,000
3.The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 $7,900,000
4.The Muppets $7,073,000
5.Arthur Christmas $6,600,000
6.Hugo $6,125,000
7.The Descendants $4,835,000
8.Happy Feet Two $3,750,000
9.Jack and Jill $3,200,000
10.Immortals $2,442,000

What are you planning to watch next weekend?

I agree the earnings seem low but I suspect a change with Sherlock Holmes, Chipmunks and Mission Impossible coming out soon.
