Sherlock Holmes really had a great opening weekend with 40 million which is alomst double of Alvin and the Chipmunks. I congratulate them. What’s surprising to me is that Mission: Impossible made 10 million less than Alvin. Twilight on the other hand has been holding strong in the top ten since it’s release. The bottom four all had their box office money very close, considering they all were in 3 millions. As soon as school is out I’m going to see Sherlock Holmes. What about you guys?

Now the Box Office Report for 12/16 - 12/18 weekend

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows $40,020,000
Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked $23,500,000
Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol $13,000,000 -
New Year’s Eve $7,420,000
The Sitter $4,400,000
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 Sum. $4,300,000
Young Adult $3,650,000
Hugo Par. $3,625,000
Arthur Christmas S $3,600,000
