Mission Impossible and Sherlock Holmes are still making millions, but this weekend newcomer “The Devil Inside” drew people to theaters. This horror movie isn’t on my list of to watch, but lot of people were interested, giving it $34 million box office. If the movie was really good we can expect even more people going next weekend. It’s also quite surprising that New Year’s Eve is still on top ten, hanging on the tenth place. This weekend total box office seems to be much less than last weekends due to same movies playing in the theater for weeks with only couple new releases. I suggest you watch The Devil Inside if you like horror, but watch out, no soul is safe…

Box Office for the Weekend:

The Devil Inside $34,500,000
Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol $20,500,000
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows $14,055,000
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) $11,300,000
Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked $9,500,000
War Horse $8,603,000
We Bought a Zoo $8,450,000
The Adventures of Tintin $6,600,000
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy $5,767,000
New Year’s Eve $3,265,000
