Tim Burton has set the making of live action “Pinocchio” as his goal. What he is trying to achieve for the movie is starring Robert Downey Jr. as Geppetto. Geppetto is a hardworking woodcarver, who makes a puppet. The puppet comes to life and has dreams of becoming a real boy.

In this version of Pinocchio, the woodcarver plays a bigger role. He starts to search for his marionette, who goes missing on a quest to become a boy. Robert Downy Jr. has expressed a great interest in this role, but his participation in this movie isn’t decided yet because of his busy schedule.

This movie version is being made by Warner Bros., which means if Downy was to take up this role, he’d be working with them for the third time. Warner is behind Sherlock Holmes and Due Date, which Downy has starred in.

Interesting ~ wasn’t aware that a live action Pinocchio is being made.
I think Downey Jr. is a good choice for the role. Hope he agrees to it.
