After a suspenseful episode, Pretty Little Liars returns with yet another thrilling plot line.
After the incident, Lucas remains missing whilst Aria questions the validity of him working with ‘A’ due to his “weak” appearance. However, Hanna is convinced that Lucas is in a partnership with A, reasoning that he was the one who destroyed Alison’s memorial. Being threaten, the feelings were further amplified as Lucas contacts home regarding his well being however, his location still remains unknown, posing as an ominous sign to the girls.
Meanwhile, Spencer finds some evidence in her lake house pointing towards Lucas using her attic as a secret lair. They find the packaging of A’s cellphone that was exposed in episode 14 and a receipt which provokes Aria and Spencer to go track the store in which the phone was purchased at. Unfortunately, the duo comes back with no results. Aria leaves first to return to Rosewood while Spencer stays back to get some coffee. After Aria departs, Spencer notices a large amount of blind individuals in the neighborhood. She follows them to a rehab center, and tries to get information on Jenna. The lady at the register refuses to give out any information. Leaving empty handed, Spencer bumps into a current resident at the center and manages to steal a sign in book from the night Alison died.
Earlier that day, Holden asks Aria out on a date. Despite being grounded, Aria accepts the date after Holden confirms that her father is fine with the date. Being sneaky, Aria decides to meet up at the theater knowing that Ezra will also be present. Leaving Spencer, Aria meets up with Holden at the theater where she completes her mission of meeting Ezra. However, within 10 minutes of the play, Ezra leaves the theater to avoid Aria. Could it be the end of Aria and Ezra?
Hanna and Caleb gets into a mini argument where Caleb is suspicious of Hanna lying about a significant detail regarding that night of the party. Meanwhile, Emily gets into a love dilemma of her own - it seems everyone is love sick in this episode! Maya returns back to town and meets up with Emily, where it seems she is being haunted by phone calls and text messages from another person. Maya then confesses that the recent calls and text messages were from a guy she previously hooked up. Open minded, Emily accepts and forgives Maya.
Drama is calling at the Marin household. Lucas manages to break into Hanna’s house in an endeavor to explain to her, what he meant to say earlier that night. Lucas reasons that he had taken her to an isolated section to the lake because he wanted to tell her about his call to the crisis center. He explained that he disappeared after that incident because of his inability to face Caleb and tell him that his savings were all lost in a bet that Lucas had placed on a basketball match.
Hanna meets up with the girls and tells them that Lucas had returned and it couldn’t have been him who was partnering with A - cancelling the girls’ suspicion of him either working for A or being A. Furthermore, Spencer shows the girls the sign in book which she had retrieved earlier and conclude Jenner had been lying about her whereabouts the day before Alison’s disappearance.
The episode then ends with a special gift from A, a Chinese serving of live bait.
Thoughts
Is A or is it the producers of the show who are getting sloppy? “A” has typically been about a thousand steps ahead of everyone else, so why is she getting so clumsy as of late? First her phone and now some evidence in Spencer’s lake house? Uhhh, I don’t really get it either.
Anyhow, this episode does pose some clues as to the possibility of A. Is the true identity of A, Jenner? Why is Jenner lying to the girls, what could she possibly be up to? After all, she had a motive to kill Alison.
If not, could Lucas be trying to be covering up his deeds with excuses to settle the girls suspicions? We just have to wait til the later episodes to find out.
Despite this episode not being as heart racing as the previous episodes, I couldn’t help but feel hurt when my favorite couple, Aria and Ezra saw each other, the glistening aura around Aria as Ezra tried to contemplate whether or not he was dreaming, when he saw Aria smiling directly in his direction. Though, you can just see that he was overwhelmed with a mix of feelings as he knew what adversities he was in for, if he took any further action. I can’t believe this could possibly be the end of Aria (♥) Ezra, with their informal restraining/separation order and with a new boy in town, my hopes for the revival of the couple is dwindling.
So, that’s my thoughts. What did you guys think?
Stay tuned for more recaps of PLL!

I need to watch this series. Unfortunately, I hate all things scary so we’ll see…
it isn’t as scary as a thriller you would see at the cinemas, but it is just more suspenseful. You should totally, watch this - but it can be lengthy and some parts may be unnecessarily dragged.
