Battle Royale: The Complete Collection is going to hit the stores on Blu-ray. This complete collection is going to include Battle Royale and Battle Royale II: Requiem.

The Battle Royale series are Japanese movies based on a manga. It’s set in dystopian future and much like “The Hunger Games” it’s about high schoolers who have to fight each other to death. They are sent by the government each month on an island by force.

The plot looks interesting but seems like the movie and the manga were considered a ‘taboo’ in America because of it’s violence and got banned. There was an American remake of the movie through but it no longer surfaces after the tragic events in Columbine.
