When news of The Hobbit being turned into a firm first broke out, I was quite the giddy camper. After all, it was 11 years ago when I first discovered Lord of the Rings and its epic goodness and I was quite excited for this movie. And with Peter Jackson back at the helm in directing the prequel of the trilogy that made me fall in love with the series, you bet that I was very much looking forward to this movie. So much to the point that I just wanted my last final to be over and for midnight to strike so I could watch. More »

What is a Bourne series without Matt Damon at the helm as Jason Bourne? Well, it’s a Bourne Legacy. In a true and somewhat weird sense. The fourth film in the Bourne series features Jeremy Renner, not Matt Damon, as, well, not Jason Bourne, but as Aaron Cross. Yeah, I know, it’s confusing. I was confused at first and didn’t really catch on until probably the fourth time I had seen the trailer and the lightbulb just went ‘ding!’ in my head. So basically the legacy of Bourne continues with Aaron Cross and as the movie teases, “There Was Never Just One.” Gooooooooot it. More »

Let me make one thing clear: I’ve been waiting a week for the finale! After seeing the trailers and previews and promos, I just couldn’t wait for the episode to air. We left off on Director Vance never making it back safely to his home, prompting viewers and the NCIS team to assume that Public Enemy #1 Harper Dearing had taken him hostage. Was the episode as good as I thought it to be? And what about those final two minutes that supposedly would make us left hanging? Come on for one hell of a firefight and ride and read my thoughts on the finale! More »

From Girlybubble: As the big romantic drama film opening this weekend, The Lucky One puts the ever-so-hunky Zac Efron in a leading role once again. Though this time, it’s behind a Nicholas Sparks’s book, so already hopes are high that it’ll be a teak (and heart)-jerker. Persuaded by a couple friends for an adventure out to see it, the theater was packed and the lights had finally dimmed… More »

It’s the last few episodes for Season 9 of NCIS as the show adds fuel to make an explosive end to this series (no pun intended for what seems to be a flaming hot scorcher to building up for the finale). This week’s episode is suspenseful and equally touching to the heart. More »

This week on NCIS, family bonds and adherence to rules are being tested as Director Vance’s brother-in-law, Michael Thomas, is the prime suspect behind a young Navy sailor’s death. Oh boy. Talk about trying to protect a family member while still upholding the laws and ideals of the government organization you’re working for. More »

Sorry for the delay as we come back after two weeks of hiatus for the ever fun show of NCIS! This week, the team must figure out who ‘leaked’ the location of the Secretary of Navy, who was blackmailed. NCIS teams up with PsyOps once more for this case. More »

From Girlybubble: Without shame, I am willing to admit that yes, I went to see a midnight screening of The Hunger Games. And yes, I am just now home after the screening and writing about it because it deserves the time I’d usually use to fall back asleep for me to talk about The Hunger Games. In short, The Hunger Games movie (and franchise) is a big deal. More »

Well, it’s been one week since our last NCIS episode. And during that week, I managed to catch my first ever (and severe) allergic reactions to something that I still do not what caused it. So, imagine me trying to watch this episode on Benadryl. Quite fun. Without further ado, let’s go to this episode. More »

I’ve recently had the pleasure of viewing the Japanese singer GACKT’s Hollywood debut film Bunraku (directed by Guy Moshe) recently—he is the main reason I became interested in it—but I found myself quite drawn into the story and visual composition of this movie. I also didn’t expect to become invested in any other character besides GACKT’s character or the story itself. More »
