Just on Sunday, Warner Bros. announced that Michael Shannon will be playing the part of General Zod in Superman. General Zod is one of Superman’s greatest enemies, and will be quite a big role in the movie. Now, those who are not familiar with this man might not be satisfied with the company’s choice of choosing him for such a big role, but Michael here, is actually an Oscar-nominated actor (known for playing the role of Sam in Revolutionary Road). Looks like they’ve got their Lois! Actress Amy Adams was contacted by the director of the upcoming ‘Superman‘ movie just after the box office numbers released over the weekend. We’re expecting a 2012 December release for the film where Adams will be starring as Lois Lane. More »

Director Zack Snyder is in the process of preparing a new Superman movie, and actress Diane Lane will join the cast as Martha Kent who is the adoptive mother of Kal-El/Superman/Clark Kent. She is the second to join after Henry Cavill was revealed to be part of the movie back in January. More »
